Review of Lift Plans

PP & CP Management Services will:
  • Review the lifting activities on site in accordance with BS7121 & LOLER 1998
  • Liaising with the Client’s management teams to build sustainable relationships ensuring the lines of communication are kept open and frequent.
  • Create and distribute site performance reports.
  • Creation of Lift Plans.
  • Review of the lifting operation planning, selection of cranes (when required), lifting gear and equipment, instruction and supervision as is necessary for the task to be undertaken safely.
  • Ensure that statutory tests, thorough examinations and weekly inspections have been carried out and the necessary registers and certificates are completed.
  • Ensure routine inspection and maintenance as required by the crane manual has been carried out.
  • Ensure all necessary safe working procedures are implemented as required by the safe system of work.
  • Ensure the weight and load distribution of the load is accurately known.
  • Ensure Assessment of local dangers, i.e. overhead power cables have been considered.
  • Ensure only competent, experienced and properly trained (CPCS) approved operators and Slinger/Signallers conduct lifting operations.
  • Ensure a clear means of communications is in place between all persons controlling the lift.
  • Attend site co-ordination meetings.
  • Review the safe system of work with regards to lifting operations.
  • Ensure relevant/competent persons heave been delegated duties.
  • Consult with others having specialist knowledge.
  • Stop any lifting operations if there is any doubt or concern over the safety of such operations and report findings.
